Charlie Watson, Bree Baker, and Nina Moody have been friends since middle school and together they are known as JAG [Just A Girl]. While pursuing a solo career in New York, Charlie Watson reunited with Walter “Mucho” Scott, a producer she had previously worked with, and decided to start a girl group. It was then, that Charlie decided to include her two best friends from her hometown of Jacksonville, Florida, Bree and Nina in her new plan. After spending a year in Atlanta, Just A Girl was signed by Front 1 Entertainment, then received a recording deal with Dallas Austin’s Rowdy Records. As proven by their single, “So Xtra,” which features Big Ooh, a rapper from Trenton, New Jersey, although each girl has her individual tone of voice, together they create the perfect harmony. Make sure to keep an eye out for these upcoming stars, don’t let the gorgeous faces fool you, they’ve got talent!
